How much does it cost?

​

All standard rates for psychotherapy services (Individual and Group) are listed on this website. Existing clients will be notified if there are any changes to therapy service fees.

​

Do you offer a sliding scale?

​

A time-limited reduced fee for existing clients experiencing financial hardship and/or navigating a financial transition is available. The sliding scale rate applies to Individual Therapy services only. Let talk about your needs. 

​

What about insurance coverage?

​

Our psychotherapy services may be covered in full or in part by your extended health insurance or employee benefits plan. We provide detailed receipts that most insurance require for reimbursement. We encourage you to find out from your insurer what type of coverage and billing process you have for therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist.

Do you work with any federal programs?

Yes. We are a health provider with Medavie Blue Cross. We provide mental health services to members of the:

  • Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)

  • Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)

  • Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)

  • Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)

Do you provide direct billing?

We are process of expanding our eclaims services. At this time, we only provide direct billing for Medavie Blue Cross members.  All other insurers are managed through reimbursement (i.e., pay-and-claim). See previous question.

Do I need a credit card to book services?

​

We're striving to make our services barrier-free and we understand that everyone's financial circumstance is different. We ask clients to include their credit card to book services, however it is not required. Payment for appointments can be made via credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or Interac e-transfer at the start of your session.

What does it mean to be a Registered Psychotherapist?

​

Registered Psychotherapists (RP) are regulated health professionals in the province of Ontario. They have successfully met all the requirements of the regulatory college. For more information, visit the CRPO’s website.

What is your therapeutic approach?

​

We work in solidarity using an anti-oppression, Black feminist theory, and relational-cultural intersecting model. We believe affirming mental health can be achieved through an integrative and personalized treatment plan.

What mental health disorders do you work with?

​

We specialize in trauma recovery counselling and psychotherapy. We use evidence-based treatment interventions to support clients who are experiencing challenges with:

  • Trauma

  • Trauma-stress related disorders

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Bipolar Disorders

  • Racial Identity

  • Life/Career Transitions

  • Grief and Loss

  • Relational Challenges (Attachment)

  • Dual Diagnosis

Do you offer services to teens (14-17 years old)?

​

Yes, we offer limited individual therapy appointments for identifying Black teen women and teen women of colour. 

​

Do you offer in-person sessions?

​
